    “Shulin Arts Center”Trial Run Launched
    There will be another great summer destination to go in New Taipei City! Shillings Arts Center will start its trial run in July! You can anticipate quality programs to spice up your summer and the social calendar will be filled with activities all the way till the end of 2019!

    Three Performances, New Experiences
    Water Reflection Dance Ensemble Will present “Floral,”an ensemble inspired by the works of contemporary Taiwanese female poets. It is a dialogue between poetry and various forms of life. Lo Shi-jong, winner of the Hakka Golden Melody Award, composed the score for this performance. “Bæd Time” by Myan Myan Studio explores life, death and existence. The ensemble, through the interaction of little girls’dolls during a sleepless night, contemplates the suffering of life. Acrobat Taiwan’s “Desire to Fly” is a heartwarming musical that radiates positive energy. It will take the audience into the imaginative world of physical and mentally impaired children.

    Program Series to Engage the Audience
    In addition, the Center invites Mr. Yes the clown to specifically design “Summer in Shulin NOWIntroduction to Theater” for children. The children will be able to interact with the clown and explore the theater space through the guidance of Mr. Yes. “Your Body is Your Guide” is a lecture presented by Water Reflection Dance Ensemble that unveils the basics of dance. They are not to be missed!

    Shulin Arts Center will host the “Stamping Fun”activity during the trial run. Now until September, you will be able to redeem one stamp point at our information desk each month, by presenting the ticket of the program you are attending and program booklet of the month. By collecting one point each month in June, July and August, our special reusable shopping bag set will be yours!
    in addition, in order to effectively improve our services, once you fill an “audience feedback,” you will be given a small souvenir at the information desk. The Center will run a prize competition during the trial- run and six lucky participants will be rewarded with a free ticket!

  • Treasure of Golden Mountains Exhibition of Shuijinjiou Geoheritage

    In collaboration with local collectors, Gold Museum, New Taipei City Government has organized "Treasure of Golden Mountains Exhibition of Shuijinjiou Geoheritage" This special exhibition, which will run until October 27, will explore with you the unique geological structure of the Shuijinjiu area, and precious mineral resources of the region.

  • A Tale of Food and Tableware-Ceramics and Culture in Daily Lives

    The heaven of porcelain tableware aficionados is here! Ranging from the retro items used by the grandmothers to the ones in vogue, you can find tableware of various types here at once. What's more? This show gives you the perspective of porcelain artists and the approach of master
    chefs, plus the participation of crossover artists. This is an eye-opening event, and you will have to refrain yourself from taking all the artworks home!

  • The Great Tea Alchemists : Craftsmanship of Tea Production in Taiwan

    Combining interactive technologies , this exhibition approaches the spirit of generations of Taiwanese tea-makers with a new perspective. It will unveil the mystery of the tea making craft, and explore the topics such as the planting tea trees, development of tea making technique, legacy of old tea factories, and most of all, the heritage and innovation of master tea makers.

  • Focused on Huwei- Tamsui Historic photography exhibition

    This exhibition sees the convergence of the work of three renowned photographers. They are Shuang-Jue, Bo, Zan-Chuan Zhang and Kun- Huang, Cai. Their work captures the Tamsui ambiance they saw in the 1960s to 90s. These images present a clear picture of the change of the Tamsui landscape throughout several decades, and search for the expression of the era of Tamsui as a small town.
