    Venue Ding-Jing Hall

Brick-carving has a long history in China. One of the three great architectural carvings - the other two being wood and stone - brick carving is known for being special and unique, which also contributes to its gradual decline. Now, the carved pieces - product of four-hundred years of development - can only be found on historic streets and in temples and homesteads. In fact, this traditional craft is perfect for beginners. Bricks, with their high water content, are easy to work with. In a move to promote traditional craft, the Lin Family Garden invites Master Brick Carver, Chen Feng Xian, to conduct the workshop, which will guide you on a wonderful journey toward the world of brick carving.
