  • 2018 New Taipei City International Metal Crafts Competition Exhibition

    The final round of the “2018 New Taipei City International Metal Crafts Competition” had taken place on April 28. The panel has awarded the prizes to sixteen Jewelry and seventeen Object entries. This year, we have received 210 entries from 22 countries in Asia, Europe, America and Oceania. Taiwanese artists have taken home numerous awards, earning gold, silver and bronze award in both Jewelry and Object categories. It is a testament to the abundant creative energy of the young Taiwanese metal artists.

  • The Highway Romance - Lai Shi Jong watercolor Exhibition

    Provincial Highway No 3 is a thoroughfare noted for its Hakka flair. This earns the Highway another name, the Hakka Promenade. It begins in New Taipei City in the north, and ends in Taichung City. For decades, the Government has tried to create a unique Hakka-themed promenade through a systematic campaign that highlights the Hakka lifestyle, culture, biodiversity and tourism. Now, artist Lai Shi-jong has captured the life of the provincial towns such as Liu Dui, and illustrated the idyllic Hakka life through the eyes of a watercolorist.

  • The Great Tea Alchemists : Craftsmanship of Tea Production in Taiwan

    Combining digital interactive technology, this exhibition introduces the spirit and craftsmanship of Taiwanese tea makers. It focuses on the continuum of the techniques of tea-making as well as a Taiwanese industrial cluster. By revisiting historical tea factories and interviewing the master tea makers we hereby collect and record the precious heritage and innovations of the maestros. Systematically this exhibition aims to track the historical accumulation of Taiwanese tea-making craft.

    CAR→From Xindian or Yilan, take Provincial Highway No. 9, then take the Taipei-Yilan Highway or National Freeway No. 5 to reach the Museum.From Jingmei, take County Highway No. 106 past Muzha, Shenkeng, and Shiding. Continue onto County Highway No. 106B. Exit for Kuolai and continue onto the Industrial Road towards Pinglin.
    MRT→Take the MRT to Xindian Station. Transfer onto the Xindian Bus Service, and take the 923 or Green 12 (G12). Get off at the stop for Pinglin Junior High School. The Museum is a 5-minute walk away.

  • New Taipei City International Artist-in- Residence Micro Exhibition

    Venue Former Residence of Tamsui Township Head Tada Eikichi

    The “New Taipei City International Artist-in-Residence Micro Exhibition,” organized by the New Taipei Artist’s Village, will be on at the Former Residence of Tamsui Township Head Tada Eikichi in Tamsui District until December 16. Five groups of artists participate in this exhibition. Works range from photography, multimedia, printing, sculpture and philanthropic arts.
