Designers on the Edge of Tamsui- St John’s University Creative Design Department Exhibition

St John’s University’s Creative Design Department is located on the outskirt of Tamsui. For the first time the Department brings the exhibition out of its hood. The exhibition this year, titled “Designers on the Edge of Tamsui,” combines both Tamsui and the concept of design, and connects both elements through creative energy. It aims to bring a new angle to the cultural landscape of Tamsui through the eyes of designers.

The Great Tea Alchemists: Craftsmanship of Tea Production in Taiwan

Venue: Pinglin Tea Museum of New Taipei City

Combining digital interactive technology, this exhibition introduces the spirit and craftsmanship of Taiwanese tea makers. It focuses on the continuum of the techniques of tea-making as well as a Taiwanese industrial cluster. By revisiting historical tea factories and interviewing the master tea makers we hereby collect and record the precious heritage and innovations of the maestros. Systematically this exhibition aims to track the historical accumulation of Taiwanese tea-making craft.

Greetings from Four Oceans- Hakka Language Special Exhibition

Date: Now Until 08/05
Venue: New Taipei City Hakka Museum

Through the use of folklores and nursery rhymes, the show demonstrates the nuances in the Hakka languages by incorporating insects, birds, games and cultural events into the innovative interactive facilities. To our visitors, this audio-visual feast will be a spectrum that presents the Hakka’s rich cultural development and history.
